When and Where Does Beach Dance Happen?

Beginning Memorial Day weekend and continuing through the end of September, events are held on the beach near Chapman Point at the north end of Cannon Beach on select Friday nights and Saturday mornings. After registering for an event, participants are given directions to the dance location, parking instructions, and suggestions on what to wear. All events are approximately 90 minutes in length and are suitable for all levels of fitness.

Due to the unique listening experience and specific timing of when the dance begins for everyone, being on time is of utmost importance. Being fifteen minutes early is highly recommended to insure you have enough time to find parking, complete a liability waiver, and make your payment. Once participants have pushed “PLAY” and the music commences, the dance has begun and late-comers will not be allowed to participate in the event. Only in extremely inclement weather (meaning it’s raining sideways and overall not nice) will events be cancelled. While blue skies and sunshine are what we always hope for, we’ll be out and about dancing even with overcast skies and a light rain.
